The ARA is a sanctioning body for .22lr bench rest competitions. Both the Unlimited and Factory class have 20 minutes to shoot a 25 bull target for a maximum score of 2500.

ARA (American Rimfire Association) matches consist of: 50 yard, bench rest, outdoor 22 Long Rifle Rimfire competition.

Regular matches will include four cards with 25 targets per card. Tournament matches will include 6 cards.

The 2 classes of rifles and equipment are: Factory and Unlimited.guns.

Competitors must obtain a competitor ID by registering in the ARA website. There is no fee to register. Pre-registering for a match is strongly recommended by contacting one of the Match Directors via text or email.
